PRINCIPLES OF DESIGN ( CONTRAST)

The principles of design are the rules a designer must follow to create an effective and attractive composition. As a principle of art, contrast refers to the arrangement of opposite elements and effects. For example, light and dark colors, smooth and rough textures, large and small shapes. Contrast can be used to create variety, visual interest, and drama in an artwork. In this, contrast has been shown using thick and thin lines, difference of quantity of lines, as well as contrasting colors. First art work doesn't include the use of color whereas second artwork shows how contrasting colors can give interesting visual characteristics to an artwork.
